"...the
beauty of each blossom speaks silently of God's love..."
Years
ago someone gave me a little card with that saying on it.
You know, I've really come to believe that it's true. I think perhaps
flowers do testify to their Maker's love.
Certainly God must be busy (busier than you and I), yet he took the time
to make
flowers so beautiful, so delicate, and with such detail. And the
colors! Brilliant, breathtaking!
Flowers are a hint. A visual reminder that He cares. There's a verse
in His book, the Bible, about how He takes care of the sparrows, yet He
cares even more about us. "...even the hairs on your head are
numbered..." (Luke 12:7). That should make us feel cared about -
especially on a good hair day!
Flowers are everywhere. Almost every type of plant relies on them for
regeneration. They are a very necessary aspect of life, and God just
happened to make them beautiful. Why?
Maybe, just because He loves us.
